From time to time we like to play with new social APIs and services in order to maintain a full understanding of the services we write about. Some of the things we build might actually be useful, so when we build a new one, we’ll put it here.

Facebook Page Checker

This tool lets you check the social stats from Facebook on any given URL, like a particular blog post or a root domain.

It’s a lot like using a PageRank tool to get Google PageRank information on a given URL, along with backlinks and other statistics. But instead of pulling search engine data, this tool queries the Facebook Graph API and displays the data that Facebook returns.
